Halo Cafe Scones and Carbon Footprint

Posted last June 27, 2011, 4:53 pm in Food report article

Why do our customers return to buy our scones day after day and tell their friends about them? It is because they are REAL. Good basic ingredients skillfully combined and baked to perfection.

What they are NOT: Not mass produced in a factory. Not frozen and partially defrosted. Not identical blocks of stodge.

Our scones have not spent days on the road either. From prep table to oven to counter to table is about 5 metres or in old money 15 feet. Halo Café scones are made fresh every day. When they are gone they are gone!

If you can't get in early enought then you can pre-order, collect and tell your friends you baked them yourself just before they arrived! it's ok we won't tell.

So take a look at what you can do to combat global warming: Step 1 Power walk up to Castletown House via the splendid avenue. Step 2 call in to Halo Café for a well deserved skinny latte and a Halo Café Scone. Step 3 jump into you car, parked conveniently in the Tesco car park, and congratulate yourself on helping to save the world!

And remember - Think Local! Shop Local! Eat Local!
